I cried too...

It was REALLY emotional. Danny is SUCH an all around great guy and you're right, he handled it with class. But that last song was more than I could handle. My gosh he has an emotional connection when he sings.

Though I like Kris, I must say I'm stunned he made it over Danny. But you're right Deb, it's the young girls. Sadly, it's the fact that he's absolutely darling on top of it. It goes back to the shallow world we live in.

Which leads me to Adam. Not that he's shallow, but that here is our world. And as far as I'm concerned you couldn't have a better American "Idol". He's everything this crazy world represents. I'm not judging. Let's face it, my opinion from the beginning has been that I HAVE to remove the background and who someone really is as a person to enjoy them as an artist. Maybe I shouldn't. But I do. And he's very talented. And entertaining. Period.

But when people like Danny who are everything you'd like America to seek out and stand for leave....it somehow makes you face reality. And our world is just in a very sad state.

  1. I do that too when it comes to movie stars and stuff else I'd never be able to watch anything...haha.....It bugs me BADLY Travolta is a Sciencetology (can't think of the word lol) guy, you know what I mean....and the vast majority of them are sooo immoral in their life styles...and you are right about the cute thing and the young girls being sooo into that...but again, it is what they are being taught everywhere they turn...obviously the whole entertainment world is full of poor role models, to put it the nicest way I can, but the American Idol is sooo visible, and sooo many young kids watch it, and it is suppose to be a family show etc., and they talk and talk about the "whole" package...etc. etc. and I feel like he (the idol) in someway represents the American people, it is sad that Crow's "feel" is what is being celebrated (though like you said, it IS the feel of this country right now)...his voice is a stun, there is no denying it, but the rest of his package is sooo sad.....for me too, if I had NEVER seen any of them, knew NOTHING about any of them, and had just had their voices to go on, I would have still picked Danny....I LOVE that kind of a voice....gravely, sexy, and yet so on key and pure....truly a stun..... :(

  2. He can sing. But not star quality.

I think he needed a Star trainer.

    Poor Dorky Gokey

P.S. Deb the gravely, sexy did nothing for me.

P.P.S. I try to talk your Mom into at lest commenting but it is like getting her to pull her tooth LOL

  3. haha Joe, I have to disagree however, I think Danny had definite star quality...not like Crow, but then I don't care for that kind of a star quality....Danny is down to earth and VERY cute in his own way....his personality was a HUGE part of the reason I like him too. And I know of many many others who felt the same....and not just in my age group....lot's of Mel's friends loved him too and were quite hysterical he was off...and the gravely, sexy voice thing....also quite huge......in fact heard someone on the radio talking about that very thing....I always think I am unique....haha Keep trying to get mom on...her comment to me on my "mom" blog was quite good....she can do it if she wants to...
