    I'm a clown and can't figure out how to write a brand new post, so I'll put in on here. Tonight was the first American Idol I've watched this season, so here's my take.
    ADAM- Mike was practically in tears over how good he was. I wasn't quite to those levels, but he was very good.
    ANOOP- am I the only person that liked him?
    MEGAN- between the tats, weird voice, and crappy song, I hope she goes home.
    JORGE- completely assinine
    THE BLIND GUY (whats his name?)- Very good.
    MATT (justin-ish guy on piano, right?)- Liked it.
    Lil Rounds- entertaining.
    Last girl- way over the top, might have been better without all those jagged and bizarre movements
    Simon- may be acidic, but the show would suck without him.

    Mel, I totally agree on the Simon issue. The show would almost be pointless without him.

    I've been dying to get on here and hear what everyone else thought...haha such a despo...BUT....here is my take....Adam was a stun and quite frankly I loved him from the minute he opened his mouth to sing clear back in his initial auditon....he is a God given natural entertainer and singer....however, I (at this point anyway..haha) can not go so far as to say he should win...OR that he in any way could come close to the actual king which is Elvis..haha Maybe I have Elvis in a league all alone...but seems like in the past things change from week to week depending very much on the kind of music they have to sing...and while he has a STUN voice no denying, I'll reserve my judgement till later. As for last night, in my opinion he was hands down the best...I think Anoop actually has a stunner voice but really picked the wrong song last night and will probably go tonight...which proves my point of it could change from week to week. I also think Danny is a complete and utter stun and his voice is also God given and unbeatable. I think at the end of the day he might appeal to a larger audiance than Adam..I also LOVED Lil Rounds, but then I love that kind of a voice and feel...I think she will be around a long time..I also liked Matt Mel and think his voice is very unique. Win or not he'll record and do well. I haven't liked the beautiful long haired blonde girl (Meagan?) right from the start and I'm not sure why other than I just don't like her voice that much...no one has mentioned Jasmine which is my personal pick to exit tonight....she just isn't that good...I'm not sure why she is on...the judges have all like her from the beginning for some reason...but if there is any justice when it comes to actual singing ability, she should be the first to go....I was personally quite surprised at how well I liked MANY of them...that is not usually the case with me especially in the beginning....I loved Simon as usual......My prediction is Anoop will go...but my preference is it should be Jasmine....

    mel. im on your side when it comes to Anoop. hes legit. probably the only guy id vote for, but i only saw like 5-6 performances.

    Deb, totally agree on Jasmine. I guess I didn't even mention her because in Simon's words she is "forgettable" I really do not see Anoop's appeal in the first place, but obviously we don't all agree on that...HaHa... Is Matt the blondish heavyset guy? I love Danny, but he did not seem as good as he was in the past. You are so right, Deb, it can really change from week to week. But, I just have a feeling that Adam (Crow) will soar to the top.

    Just re-read Melody's post as to who Matt is and I did like him, too. Actually, there are a lot of good people going this year.........
