Simons a loser.
I havent really watched this season at all, only a few shows, but im going to tell you why. I've been a huge fan of american idol in the past mainly because my only 2 Gf's loved to watch every episode so i did with them and learned to love the show. and i wanted to watch this season but i watched like the trials and a few real episodes but i COMPLETELY hate the new girl judge, please get her off the show. and now simon isnt even a jerk anymore, the main reason i watched the show, i watched simon pass like 5 people in 1 show who all sucked at singing when he should of told them they sucked and then i would of got to watch them cry running out of the building rather than dance with ryan seacrest in the hallway. what is this, simon is a loser now and is trying to be too friendly, and whats up with all those HUGE backrounds on everyone on the trial episodes, why are we watching super long backrounds of peoples lives before they are even admited to hollywood? does the show pick favorites here or what? BUT i have only seen 3 or 4 episodes, but if any of those were good, id still be watching.

I will agree that they have drug the show out unnecessarily this year and I am not sure why. I think it is because they must have more air time they can cover this season or something...I don't think I like all the extra hoopla to get to the top 12, which is the top 13 now anyway...as for the girl, she is OK but again, I'm not sure as to her point...as for Simon, he started off nicer but has swung back to his usual blunt, irro self. I agree Ant, I like him that way...as for watching, I am as committed as ever...haha
ReplyDeleteI, too, feel that they were really dragging it out. Also, waaaaaaay too much background on people's lives who will never even make it to the final few rounds. On the other hand, I like the new girl. I think she has a lot of knowledge and is not afraid to have an opinion. Obviously, Paula is main part of the show, but really nothing more than a figurehead. Many times when I have taped the show and I am fast forwarding, I will also fast forward thru her opinions. Let's face it, you pretty much know what she is going to say before she even speaks. As for Simon, I agree Deb, he has definetly swung back to an acid chip. (As I love him to be!)
ReplyDeleteAcid Chip...lol Funny enough I HATED the new girl in the prelim. She has more than grown on me and I REALLY like her now. She brings something different to the comments at the end. Paula - Pointless, Randy - Too Dawgish, and YAHOO!!! Simon has in fact returned to the Jerk we all know and love!

ReplyDeleteim SO over randy. HE is pointles..."ya know dawg...it just wasnt doin it for me tonight..." He pretty much just takes what either kara or simon says and repeats it in different words throwing dawg at the end of it. pointless... and Paula is ridiculous. really. whats she on this season? i think the only two people who ACTUALLY have anything of importance to say are simon, and occasionally the new judge. even tho, im not too keen on her persona, she atleast has something interesting to say at times.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is cuz what you say is true, but I actually like Randy...and sometimes or most times actually I even like Paula, which I am probably alone in the world on...she is pointless as a judge I guess, but she just doesn't bug me....and I am with Danae kind of on the new girl, I started out disliking her greatly, and now I guess I don't mind her at all and she does at least have something worthwhile to say....bottom line...I like the judges and the show....haha

ReplyDeleteNae, ROFL! Deb,I didn't mean that I don't like Paula on the show because I do. I think she definitely has a point and that is to smooth over the kicks the others give. Jess, really funny on saying Randy just says what Simon does with a dawg on the end! Or his constant line of, "Check it out!"

ReplyDeleteI like the new girl. They had to have a girl judge on the show who has a point, which obv isn't Paula. Although mom I agree, I like Paula even though she's pointless and druggy. I've decided I would be a pointless judge as well, because I couldn't be mean either, so I somewhat relate to her. Acid chip (LOL @ that by the way) is by far the best judge, hands down. I've already had some good laughs on my first show back. And mom, I also agree with mom about liking Randy, although Jess is right, when it's his turn you could press a tape recorder. If he liked it, it's "Yo dawg, check it out, I was really feeling you up there tonight dawg, you really worked it out" and if he didn't, it's "Dawg, check it out, just wasn't feeling it tonight, just wasn't feeling it, there was some pitch problems... just wasn't for me dawg". And something new from me... I have always LOVED Ryan Seacrest. I think (thought) he's good at what he does.. move the show along, present facts clearly, an occasional funny line. This season... no. I'm sick of his constant attack of Simon. It was somewhat funny when he first started doing it a long time ago, now I'm sick of it. We get it, Simon is bluntand you don't like him. Can we move on???
ReplyDeleteMel, I am soooooo glad that someone brought this up. Ryan drives me wild! He really bugged me last year with his constant Simon bashing and he has shot into orbit this year. He must have chipped teeth from chewing on the same old bone. Get some new material buddy, it is getting reeeeeeal old!
